Dr Faulkner graduated from Leeds university with Honours in 1999, and did her initial GP training in London.

She has always had an interest in women's health and has spent time working in sexual and contraceptive health. She holds the diploma of family planning and is able to fit both contraceptive implants and coils. She also has an interest in the health of menopausal women.
