Nurse Practitioners

 

A Nurse Practitioner is an experienced nurse who has undertaken a specific course of study to enable them to see patients with undiagnosed problems.

They offer a complementary source of health care with an assessment of health care needs.

They can:

  • assess you and make a diagnosis
  • initiate and review treatment
  • order tests and investigations
  • give advice on health issues and screening
  • refer you on to a doctor or a specialist as appropriate
